According to a 2019 Pew Research Center study, 95% of teenagers in the US report having access to a smartphone, and 45% say they are online "almost constantly" (Orben, 2019). Ten years earlier before 2010, only 68% of teens reported access to a smartphone (Khalaf et al., 2023).
